How to resolve the error "There is not enough space on the disk" in QuarkXPress Server logs

The document preview will not generate due to no space available in C drive. This is because of the large rescue folder size inside the document pool folder. The QuarkXPress Server logs will show the error "There is not enough space on the disk." in such a scenario.

Solution:

To resolve the error "There is not enough space on the disk.", follow the steps below:
  • Manually remove the rescue folder from the location - C:\QuarkXPress Server Documents\QXPSRescueFolder-version.x (Example - QXPSRescueFolder-16.3.4)
  • Set the rescue folder creation flag to "false" in the ServerApp.properties by following below steps:
  1. Navigate to [Installed location of Quark Publishing Platform] \Server\conf
  2. Open "ServerApp.properties" file in notepad.
  3. In the Serverapp.properties file set the flag as "True" for Rescue folder creation in the Document Pool.
  4. Save the Serverapp.properties file.
  5. Start QuarkXPress Server.
